Satoko

Hello! My name is Satoko and I joined National Instruments Japan in January 2004. I then moved to NI corporate in March 2007 as a localization engineer. As a localization engineer, I was involved in the intial localization effort for the products called Modular Instruments. In 2011, I became a team lead for the Japanese group. In 2013, I became a localization manager for the Asian group, meaning that I now manage 9 technical translators and 5 localization engineers. National Instruments offers a wide variety of products including software and hardware, which keep me busy with learning new technologies and products.

Here are some of the things I do in a typical week:

  • Monday: Plan for the week and assign work to team members
  • Tuesday: Review and sign off documents
  • Wednesday: Check the localized products
  • Thursday: Meet one-on-one with translators and engineers
  • Friday: Meet with my team members and other groups

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, photography, and exploring the Austin area.

And at NI, I love photographing events.
