Hi! I'm Bo from Korea and I joined National Instruments in 2006. I am a Senior Web Translator for the Korean group. On the job, I translate web content in various formats. This includes model pages, webcasts, case studies, multimedia files, tutorials, etc. I also work with the Web Content group to troubleshoot errors. Furthermore, I am involved in testing to make sure that the content is implemented correctly online and that features work as expected. I also spend time communicating with the Korean branch to schedule and prioritize projects so as to meet local demands and interest.

During my time at NI, I most appreciate having learned about the whole process of developping web content from its creation to its publication. It's amazing to see how many steps it takes and how many people are involved along the way.

Here are some of the things I do in a typical week:

  • Monday: Plan the week ahead and work on CompactDAQ Flex pages
  • Tuesday: Attend a meeting with the L10N group manager and work on Extra files
  • Wednesday: Attend a worldwide conference call
  • Thursday: Catch up on some catalog files
  • Friday: Work on a multimedia file

Here are some of the extracurricular activities I enjoy with other co-workers:

  • Meet up for lunch with the web coordinator
  • Attend localization birthday party
  • Attend BBQ event at Mesa Verde
